* Please note that there is a section of the River Ayr Way still under development between Mauchline and Failford. This section of the path is currently unavailable while negotiations continue. In the meantime, for safety reasons, users of the Way are advised not to follow the B743 Mauchline to Failford road, but to utilise the local bus service between the 2 villages or to make their own alternative travel arrangements. A map of the area showing where the route can be picked up at either end of this section is enclosed to ensure that you continue to enjoy the rest of the route.
